Privacy policy

Dubble is made by Rodo Software ("we", "us"). We built this game to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no logins and no tracking across apps or websites. We never ask for your name, email, location, contacts or photos.
What stays on your device
Some things are stored only on your iPhone or iPad and are never sent to us:
- Your high scores, and any name you type in next to one
- Your settings, such as sound effects and music on or off
- Your progress through tips and tutorials, and similar game state
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Game statistics
To learn how the game is played and make it better, the app sends game statistics to our own server. We use no third-party analytics service for this. The statistics include:
- A random ID that the app creates the first time it runs. It isn't linked to your name, your Apple ID or your advertising identifier. Its only job is to tell us whether two games were played on the same device.
- Basic technical details: app version, iOS version, whether the device is a phone or a tablet, and whether you have the free or the full version
- Gameplay data: when a game starts and ends, the game mode, score, game length, bubbles shot and popped, how the game ended, whether you played again, and whether you picked "watch an ad", "buy" or "close" when offered a continue, along with how that turned out
- The local date and time of each event
Our server does not store your IP address. The statistics don't include your name or any contact details.
We process these statistics based on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the game (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
In-app purchases
Apple handles all purchases through the App Store. We never see your payment details or your Apple ID. The app only learns whether the full version has been unlocked.
Advertising
Free players can choose to watch a video ad to continue a game. Ads are provided by Unity LevelPlay (formerly ironSource). Ads are only shown if you choose to watch them.
- Every ad is non-personalised. The app doesn't ask for permission to track you and doesn't use your device's advertising identifier.
- We tell the ad provider that you have not consented to personalised ads and that your data must not be sold or shared.
- To show and measure an ad, the ad provider still receives some technical information, such as your IP address and device type. Unity is a US company and handles this information under its own privacy policy. Unity transfers data outside the EU under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Ads only play when you choose to watch one.
We rely on our legitimate interest in offering a free version of the game, paid for by ads that you choose to watch (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Data retention
We keep the game statistics for 6 months and then delete them or combine them into overall totals.
